Happy St. Patrick's Day - or by the time you get this, Happy post-St.
Paddy's Day. If you were indulging yesterday, I hope you don't have too bad a case of "the flu" today.
If you're new to this newsletter list (and there are now 2350 of you, so hello to the newly-arrived) you've probably been wondering what the point of signing up was since nothing ever arrives in your inbox from me. But long-time subscribers know that there are gaps in this correspondence because sometimes there really isn't much in the way of news, or it's simply too hectic here for me to write.
The latter's been the case for months now, but I've finally at least made some updates to the Web site. Rather than repeat the information here, I'm going to give you the pertinent urls and you can go have a look yourselves.
For news about upcoming titles, check out:
Seven Wild Sisters:
www.charlesdelint.com/7sisters-desc01.htm
Wolf Moon:
www.charlesdelint.com/wolfmoon-desc01.htm
And you really should look at the Subterranean Press banner on the Wolf Moon page. The folks at Sub Press took MaryAnn's art for the cover and animated it. The last little bit is too funny. I should also mention that if anyone knows the origin of the running wolf gif towards the end of the page, I'd like contact info to make sure it's okay that I use it. (I can't remember where I got it, you see…)
For other cover art, you'll find new book covers featured at the first two urls listed above with more available at:
www.charlesdelint.com/covergallery01.htm
For those of you who have been wondering what order to read the Newford books in, there's finally a list at:
www.charlesdelint.com/faq01.htm#newford2
I'd like to thank Cat Eldridge for tracking down the new url for Captive Daughters. You can find more information at:
Captive Daughters.
I've over 500 emails waiting for reply in my inbox at the moment, so if you've written and haven't heard back yet, it's not that I'm ignoring you. I just haven't had the time to get to them all yet.
Wish I had time to list some of the great music I've been listening to
(there's been so much coming out), but there isn't. Still I can't resist
quickly slipping in a couple:
Local (to us, at any rate) guitarist Alex Houghton has a fabulous new CD called Happybody. You can hear samples at:
www.alexhoughton.com/houghton/
And Fred Eaglesmith's Falling Stars and Broken Hearts is out March
26th. Order yours today! :) Or visit his spiffed-up site at:
www.fredeaglesmith.com
Who'd have thought that a train-loving chicken farmer from Southern Ontario with his own junk car graveyard would be so Net savvy?
Until again, be kind to each other.
